Divesh was born and brought up in Dehradun and has been staying in Mumbai for the last 27 years. He started his banking career as a PO in State Bank Group.
He had a wonderful opportunity to join HDFC Bank and served the bank for 19 years. It was his last job as he left HDFC Bank in 2017. In the same year he founded this Start Up named Ursa Minor Consulting Private Limited along with a friend. The Start Up has been recognised under the Start Up India mission of the central government. This Start Up is into the business of training and up-skilling those youth who aim to join Banking and Financial Services (BFS) sector.
Divesh believes that training of BFS to the youth from the deeper geography can create limitless job opportunities in the country. He wants to create a level playing field for those who lack infrastructure and resources to become competitive. His aim is to put these youths especially from the hinterland at par with those who are resourceful.
He has done his M.A. in English Literature and is also an alumnus of IIM, Kashipur. He has always preferred ‘on the job’ or ‘workplace’ training for imparting day to day job responsibilities. However, he has also received serious class room training in SBI Staff Training Centre-Hyderabad, IIM-Ahmedabad, NIBM-Pune and Bankers Training College-RBI, Mumbai. He was also a member of the Governing Council of the IMS Unison University, Dehradun.
Anjula, a Post Graduate from Punjab University is a serial entrepreneur. In the year 2000, she founded a successful Medical Transcription start-up in Mumbai. She sold it and started a venture of designing and manufacturing fashion garments in the year 2005 which she continues along with discharging her responsibilities as Founder Member and a Director in Ursa Minor Consulting Private Limited. HR and Administration is her forte and she takes corporate challenges head on.
S Krishnan has a banking experience of over 34 years in varied functions and senior positions. He built his career in the operations field and is an authority the Retail Banking, Credit Risk, Treasury and Trade Finance operations.
He started his career in 1982 with the Hongkong Bank Group at its headquarters in Mumbai. After working in various roles there for over 12 years, he joined HDFC Bank in 1995 at its Corporate Office, Mumbai. At HDFC Bank he held various key positions and headed Credit Administration Department (CAD) and subsequently lead the bank's Trade Operations (Domestic and International). He quit HDFC Bank in 2017 to pursue entrepreneurship. He is Co-Founder Member and a Director in Ursa Minor Consulting Private Limited and also an advisor with Federal Bank Limited in building a robust and scalable Credit Administration vertical.
Rishabh is MBA (Marketing) from Mumbai. He worked as a Marketing and Sales Manager with a leading private sector bank before joining Ursa Minor.
At Ursa Minor, he takes care of new projects: from ‘Proof of Concept’ stage to ‘Commercial Production’. The videos you see at this portal are conceived, scripted, recorded, edited and uploaded by him. Other than work, Rishabh enjoys playing video games, spending time with Zeppelin (his Shih-Tzu), reading and working out.
CA. Manoj SadgurunathNadkarni is 1st Class Bcom Graduate from Mumbai University, He completed his Chartered Accountancy in 1988 and is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He has attended various management courses including Management Development Program by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
He started his career with Saraswat Co-operative Bank and served for 5 years as officer in the Audit and Inspection Department of the bank and also was handpicked to be the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Bank. He quit Saraswat Bank and joined HDFC Bank in 1995, and served HDFC Bank for 23 years and seen the bank grow from 2 branches to the 4700 branches. He held various senior positions in the Audit and Compliance Departments of the bank including the Regional Head for Audit, The Principal Officer under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, The Chief Compliance Officer of the Bank etc.
He has represented the bank on various forums at IBA, RBI and FIU-IND and has been on the Working Group on KYC and AML of the Indian Bank Association (IBA), which has been instrumental in preparing comprehensive guidance notes for the Banking Industry.
He quit his job with HDFC bank in October 2018 and now joined hands with his ex-colleagues to pursue entrepreneurship as Founder Director of M/s Ursa MinorPvt Ltd with a mission that the youth of the country have easy access to training in the BFSI sector and have practical outlook towards career in Banking and other BFSI sector so as to make them ‘Job Ready’
