What to do after 12th?

Students often start worrying as soon as they cross the biological age of 18 years which is a legal requirement for entering into a contract under the Indian Contracts Act.

Every formal job falls under this Indian Contracts Act and as a result, a company can not employ a person who is below 18 years of age as that will not be a legally valid contract. At the age of 18, a student invariably completes his / her 12th standard of education. Hence, question comes, ‘WHAT TO DO AFTER 12TH?’

In our opinion, a student should start gathering formal, vocational skills as soon as it clears 12th. BFSI skills are easy to comprehend and build. Secondly, these are necessary skills owing to their all pervasiveness. Who does not deal in money after all? And who does not need people to guide them in dealing with money? Banks included.

If one starts building the BFSI skills immediately after the 12th, by the time one is graduate, he or she is ready for a serious BFSI job.

Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector offers attractive job opportunities to graduates. The sector does not differentiate between any education stream such as commerce, arts, science, engineering, medicine or management. The sectoral requirement is as such that a candidate would compulsorily need to learn ‘In the Workplace’. So the questions such as ‘WHAT TO DO AFTER 12TH ARTS?’, or ‘WHAT TO DO AFTER 12TH SCIENCE?’ or even, ‘WHAT ARE THE CAREER OPTIONS AFTER 12TH’ leads one to one answer: LEARN BANKING.

There are many courses which can be started after the 12th. Apart from admission in various graduation courses (BA, B.Com, B.Sc), foundation for various professional courses such as medicine, engineering, chartered accountancy, company secretary, teaching and paramedics etc starts immediately after 12th.

Starting to prepare for banking training after 12th and especially after 12th commerce is a feasible and rewarding idea. Here, Ursa Minor digital training could be of great assistance.
