Skills of Future

Whenever we speak of skills, a question automatically arises in the mind- why is there a need for a skill in the first place? The answer is that almost every skill has a ready market. If you have the required skill then you enter that market with the confidence, long term vision and resolve of a winner. If you do not have the required skills then you have two options: 1) learn the skills at a rapid speed immediately after joining that market and quickly join the ranks of winners and 2) leave your survival to chance and remain a pretender. Clearly, the second option is not an option. Also that acquisition of basic skills prior to entering a market is always preferable over later acquisition of the same skills. Foreign universities provide practical training to their students (which is equivalent to work experience) while there is no such culture in the context of Indian learning.

Students are supposed to be having a flexible mindset. Rigidity is enemy number one of learning. Let's discuss in the coming lines skills of future to be familiar with. Everyone needs to be Future Proof. Important thing is that you dont have to study in IITs or prominent engineering colleges. These can even be learnt all by oneself with the help of an expert.

  1. Programming: It used to be a big career boost a few decades earlier if you were a multilinguist. It is going to be as important as being able to write or type on your key board. Today, Javascript and Python are in demand, tomorrow there may be some other programming languages. Main purpose of programming is always moving in the direction of automation.

Machin Learning (ML): This is to ensure your fight against spam, identification of malware and virus detection. It is a branch of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Hundreds of new start ups have been working in thi field.

Mobile Applications: Look at Pokemon Go or PUBG. More entrepreneurs are busy in this field than in any other one. More users an application reaches, more it is successful. To achieve this level, the content has to be engaging.

SEO / SEM: In the internet space, visibility matters the most. These are digital marketing tools. The SEO / SEM expert helps boost the visibility of the website of the client company.

Cyber Security: Cybersecurity protects web business to ensure programmes and content are safe and protected from cyber threat.
